Baojun Automobile pointed out that this Yueye incident was not a "brake failure" described by the network, but a software Bug in some vehicles, which led to the degradation of braking power. This part of the vehicle will be reminded by the indicator light when it is started, and will enter the speed limit protection state. Without knowing the facts, the relevant media described the words such as "brake failure" as inaccurate.
Previously, many owners of Baojunyue also reported on social platforms that their vehicles had a "brake failure" problem, and a "yellow turtle" fault light appeared on the dashboard. After stepping on the brake pedal, the vehicle could not slow down. On January 2, Baojun Automobile replied to Red Star News that a small number of Yueye vehicles may have the phenomenon that the fault lights are lit and the brakes are hard.
