After the launch of three extended-range SUVs, Ideal finally decided to sell to pure trams. The new car was named Ideal MEGA, which positioned a large MPV, and its body size would exceed 5300mm, surpassing Buick GL8, Tengshi D9 and other medium and large MPVs. The new car is expected to be officially released in December this year.
Ideal recently announced more product details of MEGA. From the design point of view, the front face adopts a closed design, and the lamp group adopts an integrated design on both sides of the front face, with black painted cooling vents below. There are almost no changes in the details of the whole front face. Judging from the lidar on the roof, the new car will also provide a high-end full-scene NOA assisted driving system.
The body side of the ideal MEGA is also simple, and the overall profile has no ups and downs. The second row, the third row and the rear windshield all use black privacy glass. The roof presents a slip-back posture and is equipped with small-sized semi-closed wheels. Whether it is a smooth front face or a car body, it is to reduce wind resistance and ensure endurance. After all, it is a pure electric large MPV, and the kerb quality will reach a higher weight.
We can also read other information from the side of the car body, for example, the size of the third row (behind the B-pillar) is longer than that of Buick GL8 and other models, which also means that the third row seat space of the ideal MEGA will be more spacious, which can better meet the immediate needs of MPV users, and positioning pure electric vehicles will also have a good performance in the commercial/official vehicle market.
At present, the information about the power and endurance of the ideal MEGA is still in the confidential stage. It is known that the new car has 800V high-voltage charging technology and is equipped with 4C Kirin battery from Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited. It is reported that it can achieve the charging efficiency of 9 minutes and 30 seconds and the endurance of 400KM. (Photo: provided by LI)
