Relying on independence, our party has completed the industrialization process that developed countries have gone through for hundreds of years in just a few decades, creating two miracles of rapid economic development and long-term social stability, and pushing China from a "late country of modernization" to a "growth pole of world modernization". At the same time, we should also be soberly aware that China is still the largest developing country in the world, the problem of insufficient development imbalance is still outstanding, and structural, institutional and cyclical problems are intertwined; China is facing increasing uncertainty and instability in the external environment, the epidemic situation in the century has a far-reaching impact, anti-globalization thoughts are on the rise, unilateralism and protectionism are on the rise, the recovery of the world economy is weak, local conflicts and turmoil are frequent, and global problems are intensifying. We are undergoing an unprecedented severe test.In such a country and such an international environment, taking the road of modernization can neither be carved for the sword, closed and rigid, nor can it be copied, and all the practices of "following the gourd and painting the gourd", step by step and following the lead will only delay the modernization process.
